South Australia launch bid to attract bored Brits |

Tuesday 10th August 2010
A recruitment drive has been launched by South Australia in an attempt to lure Brits bored with their current jobs to far more exciting jobs in the south of the country.
Jobs such as koala catcher and beer taster are becoming available for Brits between 18-30 after a survey conducted by the South Australian government found that 60% of British employees were fed up with their jobs.
The scheme is hoped to attract Brits who wish to restore the work life balance in their lives. In addition, those going to Australia on work visas will be eligible for the roles on offer.
The South Australian government is hoping to attract stressed and bored Brits, advertising a range of jobs "in stark contrast to the UK's long working hours, high taxes and increasing retirement age".
Other jobs include for a Little Penguin home remodeller on Kangaroo Island, a shark personality profiler at Port Lincoln and a "roo poo" harvester.
